These pictures (and video) were taken by Jonathan Gerrans. This blog is his by right, but due to his extended hiatus from the world of Blogger, I did it myself.

Wow! Looks awesome. I must admit I'm slightly jealous. The only flowers I've seen lately are the ones in the yard and the bouquets sent to patients in the hospital.
There's nothing quite like the rugged yet detailed beauty of wilderness.
Very nice. I wish I'd been along! All the hiking I've been doing lately has been in my mind unfortunately, my body having been unexpectedly laid up, recovering from the three holes a man rudely punctured in my abdomen. However, it has given me time to plan a worthy excursion over hill and dale, the Great Range Traverse. Alex and I would be delighted to have you join us... :)
Kelsey: Agree
Joel: your comment begs question! Were you stabbed? Shot? Mistaken by Alex (who had a 3-pronged fork) for a large potato? Or did you undergo dramatic surgery????
Look like alot of fun! You gonna do it again this summer? We've been doing quite abit of hiking here, but nothing like that. You'll have to join us sometime.
p.s. nice flower!
As exciting as it would have been to have been speared mistakenly by Alex, it was a far less noteworthy occurrence. I'm not sure if it was dramatic, but I was on the receiving end of a laparoscopic appendectomy, skillfully administered at 4:00 am last Sunday. And while I would rather not have any holes in me, three little ones are better than one big one, from what I can tell.
Your Mt. Washinton pictures brought back memories of my venture up the same mountain last year. Good times, Good times...
