The Measure of our Days

Lord, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is; that I may know how frail I am.

Behold, thou hast made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity.

Se-lah

Psalm 39:4-5

Why do you think God placed such significance on counting your days?

I'm glad your blogging career didn't end with your year in Peru! Can I add a link to The Meter on my blog?

Do you ever count the days before your next exam? It seems to motivate me to use my time to the max. I think the psalmist may have been driving at the same idea. We could probably over-simplify and make an equation:

Time is Sacred + Life is Short = Count your Days.

Feel free to add my blog. I like the quote.
